PTCB Highlights the Last 15 Years

PTCB celebrated its 15th anniversary in January as the industry leader and national standard in pharmacy technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE). This journey has been filled with notable highlights which we would like to showcase in this edition of CPhT Connection.

PTCB was founded in 1995 by four pharmacy organizations: the American Pharmacists Association (APhA); the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP); the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP); and the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA). In 2001, these four organizations were joined by The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

Additionally, PTCB contracts with Pearson VUE, the industry's technology leader, as its computer-based testing vendor.
